QUALITY

PROFESSIONAL, ON TIME, CORRECT

The definition of translation quality today has many different interpretations.

In our view, quality is characterised by linguistically and terminologically correct translations that meet the client’s needs and is completed on time.

To ensure high-quality translation and localisation projects, we observe the following principles:

  • We select translators for each project in line with the client’s project history, the specificity and field of the text, and the target language.
  • Professional and experienced translators, tested and tried in practice, translate from the relevant foreign language into their native tongue.
  • The principle of six eyes (three specialists): all translations are done by a professional translator and proofread/edited by an independent editor, whose native tongue is the target language, while the relevant project manager is in charge of quality control.
  • The editor checks the accuracy of content, linguistic aspects, grammar, terminology, and style.
  • For quality control, we use cutting-edge computerised quality assurance (QA) tools such as Verifika, Xbench, among others, to avoid typos, mistakes in punctuation, numbers, consistency, terminology, etc.
  • A separate translation memory is created for each client, which is accessed only by specialists involved in the client’s project performance, thereby ensuring utmost consistency, quality and confidentiality.
  • We perform all translations according to standards ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 17100:2015: this includes strict requirements for the qualifications and experience of translation specialists, a certain procedure for preparing, carrying out and delivering translation and localisation projects, and effective communication with the client from the moment the project is received through customer service after delivery.
  • We register, manage and store all projects in a modern server-based project and resource management system, XRTF, with backup copies made on a regular basis.
